October 1, 2018 – To kick off the 2018-2019 season, the National Collegiate Dodgeball Association (NCDA), the official governing body for competitive collegiate dodgeball in the United States, is launching a partnership with Campus Causes to help their 38 active member teams raise more money to assist with their travel, equipment, and gym expenses. Students, coaching staff, friends, family, and alumni can now donate and “shop-to-raise” hundreds of brands with a portion of each purchase going back to their favorite team.
“I am very excited about this partnership with Campus Causes because it takes some of the financial burden off of our members, who are the cliche poor college students. This simple platform which allows teams to take advantage of something they already do, online shopping, is an excellent way to help our members play more dodgeball without the added stress of paying for everything out-of-pocket”, said Felix Perrone, President of the NCDA.
“We are thrilled to provide the NCDA with a platform to enhance their fundraising and make dodgeball more affordable for students nationwide,” said Steve Schubert, partner and co-founder of Newbridge Marketing Group, the owner of Campus Causes. “Campus Causes provides the NCDA with an online donations platform which also helps them organically raise funds all year long via shopping. The stories we’ve heard from Felix and clubs – see our blog with Bowling Green’s Dodgeball Club – about the sport and the diverse athletes that are out to compete and have fun make us happy to help support their mission while also bringing our brand partners valuable new consumers. Furthermore, we’re humbled to be able to assist the NCDA’s efforts to raise awareness and money for their nonprofit partner, Save The Children, through the teams’ funding efforts. It is a true win-win-win-win.”

The National Collegiate Dodgeball Association, Inc. (NCDA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization of dodgeball clubs and student organizations of North American colleges and universities, a governing body for competitive collegiate dodgeball. The NCDA was founded on April 9, 2005, when Nationals was first hosted. The NCDA’s brand of dodgeball is a large scale 12-on-12 fifty-minute contest held on a basketball-sized court, played with ten 8.5” rubber dodgeballs and a competitive ruleset which includes an exciting neutral zone. Slightly underinflated rubber playground balls (while still retaining their ability to bounce) allow the collegiate student-athletes to grip and squeeze the ball, in order to introduce significant spin and speed to the throw. Many teams are proudly coed. The end of the 2018 season proudly boasted a membership of 914 student-athletes from 33 different states, representing 41 different universities coast-to-coast. Joining the NCDA is free and easy, please reach out to us at email@example.com or visit our website to learn more!
